DISTRICT ESTABLISHES NEW 'NVEST PROGRAM
The Mercer County Board of Education signed off on the establishment of a new program at the November board meeting called 'NVEST ('Ncorporating Valuable Employee & Student Savings Tips). This program has been developed to provide an avenue for all stakeholders of the district - students, parents, staff and community alike - to submit innovative cost savings ideas for the district. The program offers a monetary reward to the indiviudal who submits an innovative and substantial cost avings idea. The key to this program is to think outside of the box. While it is a good habit to turn off the lights when you leave a room and this does save money, it is not an innovative idea. The 'NVEST program is built on innovative ideas and rewarding individuals for their succesfully implemented ideas.

Superintendent Hamilton is in the process of developing a form for individuals to complete when he/she has an idea to submit. In the meantime, individuals are encouraged to email the superintendent directly at chuck.hamilton@mercer.kyschools.us.
